Thesis 3>40
English
That the soul can, by a purgative path, acquire perfect knowledge of everything knowable through nothing more than a modest and effortless gathering of, and attention to, intelligibles already possessed from above, without any further study or inquiry — this is a concession not only the Platonist philosophers but even, among the Peripatetics, the followers of Averroes (in whom it is least expected) are bound to make.
The sheet's Farmer locator for this thesis reads 'None'; the actual English translation was located directly in the source at farmer1998:20922 (the inventory misfiles that line among the notes) and is cited there instead.
