Thesis 2.16
Latin
Christus in ultimo iudicio iudicabit non solum in natura humana, sed etiam secundum naturam humanam.
English
In the Last Judgment, Christ will judge not only in his human nature, but also according to his human nature.
The Latin as transmitted repeats 'natura humana' / 'naturam humanam' in both disjuncts, where a contrast (e.g. with the divine nature) is expected; Farmer's own English preserves the same repetition without comment (farmer1998:11558), and no apparatus variant is recorded here. Sense checked against farmer1998:11558.
Not established
- Whether the doubled 'natura humana / naturam humanam' preserves Pico's intended contrast or is a corruption for a different second term (e.g. 'naturam diuinam') is not established by the sources consulted; Farmer's translation preserves the same repetition without comment (farmer1998:11558).
