Dialectical Reading
Interpretive Method

SEED_DATA
A reading method where reader and querent engage in mutual exploration rather than one-directional interpretation.
In a dialectical reading, the reader does not simply interpret and pronounce. Both parties bring their own questions and experiences to the cards. The reader asks about their own challenges through the lens of the querent's narrative, and vice versa. The interplay of two lived experiences deepens card interpretation beyond what either person could reach alone.
Significance
The dialectical method rejects the fortune-telling model of tarot as oracle-pronouncement. It treats the reading as a collaborative cognitive exercise where the cards are scaffolding for mutual exploration.
