SEED_DATA
A 10-degree division of the zodiac, used to assign astrological correspondences to Minor Arcana pip cards.
Each of the twelve zodiac signs is divided into three decans of 10 degrees each, yielding 36 decans total. In Golden Dawn attribution (derived from Paul Christian's 1870 system via the Sefer Yetzirah), the 36 pip cards (2-10 of each suit, minus aces) are assigned to these 36 decans. The Two of Wands = 1st decan of Aries (Mars in Aries), the Three of Wands = 2nd decan of Aries (Sun in Aries), etc.
Significance
The decan system provides the astrological grounding for every numbered Minor Arcana card, connecting each card to a specific planetary influence within a zodiacal context.
