The date of May 1974 is significant in Dick studies: Dick's transformative 2-3-74 mystical experiences had occurred just months earlier in February and March 1974, events that would dominate his philosophical thinking and writing for the remainder of his life. By this time Dick had left Marin County and was living in Orange County, but this clipping from his former community may contain references relevant to understanding the world he had inhabited.
