Philip K. Dick was born on December 16, 1928, making him approximately three and a half years old at the time of this newspaper's publication. Dick's parents, Joseph Edgar Dick and Dorothy Kindred Dick, had separated when Philip and his twin sister Jane were infants. Jane died at five weeks of age in January 1929. The Greeley, Colorado connection suggests this clipping may relate to the Dick family's history in the region, possibly documenting family members or events from Dick's earliest childhood. Greeley is in Weld County, northeastern Colorado.
