Russell on folktales and science fiction, Gregory Feeley exploring the works of Jack Dann, Sue Jenkins comparing Star Trek and Blake's Seven, and John Schellenberger on SF and mind-sprung. Letters are included from Chauvin, Michael Moorcock, and Stine.

Reviews by Barbour, Clute, Ferguson, Greenland, Kaveney, Langford, Lewicki, Pratt, Sladek, Stableford, Watson, and Wolfe cover books by A.A. Attanasio, Peter Carey, Christopher Evans, Lee Killough, Julian May, Michael Moorcock, Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, Frederik Pohl, Bob Shaw, and others. Foundation was one of the most important academic journals for science fiction criticism, and this issue documents the state of SF scholarship at the moment Dick's death transformed his literary reputation.
