Fr. Garland came home and brought me a letter from Mr Thomas Kelly. Made acquaintance with Sir Thomas Chaloner, Knight, who married Sergeant Fletewood's daughter. Mr Thomas Webb was the means. At 6 after noon received from Mr Francis Nicolls 151i, part of one hundred pounds: the rest whereof 85li is to be received from Mr Nicolls within a fortnight after the Annunciation of Our Lady next, and after that in the beginning of June lOali and in July the third hundred pounds. And I am to teach him the conclusion of fixing and teyming of )). &c.
