Summary
Geoffrey's later verse life of Merlin, much closer to the Welsh Myrddin material than the Historia was: a prophet driven mad by battle who lives wild in the Caledonian forest. It also contains the earliest account of Morgen and her nine sisters receiving the wounded Arthur on the Island of Apples.
