Matter of Britain Figure

Taliesin

Summary
A historical sixth-century poet to whom a large body of later visionary verse was attached, including Preiddeu Annwn. The Book of Taliesin (c. 1350) preserves both strata. He is the voice through which the archaic Arthur mostly reaches us.
