Arthur & Robin

Matter of Britain Figure

Gildas

Summary
British cleric whose De Excidio et Conquestu Britanniae is the only near-contemporary narrative of the period Arthur is supposed to belong to. He describes the victory at Mons Badonicus and names Ambrosius Aurelianus as the British leader. He does not mention Arthur. This silence is the single largest problem for the historical case.
